Overview
The Ryan Halladay Foundation for Supportive Care exists to promote and prioritize humanity in the healthcare experience. Founded on the belief that individuals living with a life-changing health condition, whether related to illness, mental health or aging, and those who care for them, deserve clarity, dignity, and meaning, throughout their health journey, the Foundation is dedicated to helping individuals, caregivers and loved ones feel informed, prepared, and supported.
We empower people to navigate their experience with clarity, confidence, comfort and choice. Our work centres on education, emotional steadiness, and values-based planning, assisting people to live their life, their way, whether they are managing illness, supporting a loved one, or navigating the complexities of aging.
“A great day to take control, be confident in your choices, and love the day to its fullest. Stay safe and never compromise” ~ Ryan Halladay March 2021

Honour each person’s lived experience, values, choices, and relationships, approaching each interaction with compassion and care.
Centre the individual, as a patient or caregiver, focusing on quality of life, and what matters most, recognizing that well-being extends well beyond medical outcomes and includes emotional, relational and social-well-being.
Support informed, values-based decision making, including end-of-life choices, through knowledge, empowerment and confidence, ensuring individuals feel supported to advocate.
Promote preparedness and holistic support, recognizing that emotional, physical, mental, social and practical needs are deeply connected, and that no one should manage it alone, particularly within complex healthcare, community and long-term care systems.
